It's The Sciccoso Life

Sciccoso is an Italian word meaning Chic. To me, being chic isn't about having all of the latest designer fashions, it's about owning who you are and not being afraid to let every person around you know it. Life is too short to blend in. Somehow, through the craziness of the up-coming year, I hope, whoever you are, that you enjoy reading this blog and just maybe it will impact you in some way. Fashion is my passion. As cheesy and cliche as that may sound, its true. Fashion, to me, is a way we can all express ourselves without ever saying anything. "Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it" have you ever heard that before? When you think about it, it is really deeply true for all of us. I might like placing a fur vest with a long sleeve v-neck and a wide largely gauty rhinestone detailed belt, where as you might think that is completely repulsive and pair that long sleeve v-neck with some high waisted leather leggings and a cropped cardigan. It's all about personal taste and perception. 

Being chic, doesn't just deal with fashion. It also, in my opinion, applies to food as well. To some people, food is the way they express themselves. Its their way of showing the world who they are without ever saying anything. So, with that said, heres why I decided to write this blog. Life is short, memories fade, and thankfully we live in a world where technology has enabled us to capture these potentially faded memories and keep them forever. I am going to document every beautiful thing and every not so beautiful thing that happens this year, 2013. Fashion. Food. Fun. Everything. In a year, I will probably read this again, actually knowing that there are people out there relating to my posts, and I hope that that is a super wonderful feeling. It is my dream to share with the world my ideas and someday become a world renowned stylist. So until then, this is where the magic is going to happen.
